Gurgaon To Delhi Bike Transport Basics: Distance, Time, And Why It Varies
A Gurgaon to Delhi booking crosses a state line over a very short distance. People move bikes from Gurgaon to Delhi when they change jobs from Cyber City to a Delhi office, shift house for a cheaper rent, or sell a bike to a buyer across the border.
By road it is about 30 km, but distance is the wrong thing to count here. Plan for 1 day: the bike is picked up, the carrier waits for Delhi's goods-vehicle timings, and delivery happens in the next convenient window. If you are used to long-haul quotes, this is a different kind of job. The route normally follows NH48 and the Delhi border at Kapashera or the Dwarka side.
| Road distance | About 30 km |
|---|---|
| Standard transit | 1 day |
| Express transit | same day or next day |
| Starting price (commuter bike) | ₹2,800 onwards |
| Pickup | Gurgaon and the rest of NCR (Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad) |
| Delivery | Door delivery in Delhi and nearby areas |

Why the timing changes
The border points between Gurgaon and Delhi, Kapashera and the Mehrauli-Gurgaon road, are slow in the morning and evening, so the time slot matters more than the distance.
Besides that, four things move the date more than anything else:
- How often carriers leave for Delhi. A bike booked on a day when a vehicle is already loading leaves sooner than one that waits for a full load.
- Season. Dense fog between late December and January is the usual slowdown on this side of the country. Summers are hot but rarely change the schedule.
- Where you are in the NCR. Pickup from inside Gurgaon's sectors is quickest. If you are in Gurgaon, Noida or Faridabad, mention your sector when you ask for the quote.
- Who receives it. A delivery that needs an RWA letter or gate pass takes longer than one where the driver can park outside and hand over.
Pickup from Gurgaon: what to expect
Gurgaon has its own pickup routine. Gated societies, basement parking and RWA rules decide how smoothly a bike is collected, so we ask for the tower, the gate and a contact for the guard. Typical pickup points for Delhi bookings are Sector 49, DLF Phase 1, DLF Phase 3, Sector 56 and Sohna Road.
This is a short NCR hop between Gurgaon and Delhi, and the time goes on loading and gate entry, not on the road. Evening jams at Signature Tower and Sohna Road mean the best loading slots are before 10 am.

How to shift my Bike from Gurgaon! - 3 Ways To Transport Your Bike From Gurgaon To Delhi
There are really only three options. Here is how each one works out on this route.
1. Door-to-door by covered carrier
This is the usual choice. The bike is packed at your door, travels in a closed vehicle and is brought to your Delhi address. Budget ₹2,800 to ₹3,850 for a commuter bike and a day or less of transit, and keep your phone on during the trip. Read more on our door-to-door bike transport page.
2. Railway parcel
Not worth considering at 30 km. Parcel booking, a tempo to the station and another from the station at the far end will cost nearly as much as a carrier, and you lose a day or two for nothing.
3. Ride it yourself, or hire a rider
For a bike that runs, this is the simple answer. Check the paperwork, fill the tank, and go. The only snag is a state change: the Haryana plate is valid in Delhi for twelve months, and after that you need to re-register. If the bike is not roadworthy, or it is a new bike without a number plate, book the carrier instead.
Short version: ride a healthy bike, and use a carrier for everything else. We handle everything from motorcycles and scooters to Royal Enfield and sports bikes.
Gurgaon To Delhi Bike Transport Costs in 2026: What You’re Really Paying For
No one should pay for a Gurgaon to Delhi bike move without seeing the full breakup, so here it is.
| Bike type | Price range (incl. GST) | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Scooter / moped (up to 125cc) | ₹2,600 – ₹3,400 | 1 day |
| Commuter bike (100–160cc) | ₹2,800 – ₹3,850 | 1 day |
| Royal Enfield / cruiser (350–650cc) | ₹3,350 – ₹4,700 | 1 day |
| Sports bike (300cc+) | ₹5,300 – ₹7,450 | 1 day |
| Superbike (650cc+) | Quoted after we know the exact model | |
Where the money goes (commuter bike, mid-range quote of ₹3,300)
| Item | Approx. amount |
|---|---|
| Line-haul freight (Gurgaon to Delhi) | ₹1,750 |
| Loading, strapping and standard wrap | ₹300 |
| Door pickup and door delivery | ₹750 |
| GST at 18% | ₹500 |
| Total | ₹3,300 |
Extras and adjustments
- Transit insurance: 2.5% of the declared value, with a minimum of ₹300. On a bike valued at ₹80,000 that is about ₹2,000, plus GST.
- Express delivery: costs roughly a quarter more on the transport charge and cuts the trip to same day or next day.
- Depot instead of door: if you can bring the bike to a hub or collect it from one, the ₹750 door charge and its GST drop off.
- Difficult access: if the truck cannot reach your gate, a smaller vehicle for the last stretch may cost extra. Tell us the address up front.
- Premium wrap: adds about ₹900 for extra padding and a crate-style frame, worth it for a new or high-value bike.
At this distance the price is mostly fixed costs: loading, packing, paperwork and the vehicle. Kilometres hardly move it. For a quick estimate with your own bike type, try the bike transport cost calculator, or read our general bike transport charges page and the charges guide.

The Safety Checklist Before You Pay Any Advance for Bike Shipping from Gurgaon
Before any money moves for a Gurgaon to Delhi booking, go through these points. They apply to every company, including us.
- Get the quote in writing. It should name the pickup address, the Delhi delivery address, packing, insurance, GST and the days promised.
- Ask who is actually carrying it. Short jobs are often handed to a local tempo. Make sure the vehicle is covered and the bike is strapped.
- Do a pickup inspection. Photos or a video of the bike from all sides, with the odometer reading, and a signed condition sheet.
- Do not pay in full upfront. A small booking amount is fine. If someone asks for everything before pickup, that is a warning sign.
- Ask for a contact number for the trip. Someone should pick up the phone while your bike is on the road.
- Check the company is real. Ask for the GST number, the registered office address and a landline or office you can visit or video call. Search the name with reviews.
- Prepare the bike. Keep fuel to about a litre, tape or disconnect the battery lead, remove loose accessories and keep one key with you. Our how to prepare your bike guide covers the rest.
- Plan the Delhi delivery. Delhi societies often allow goods vehicles only at certain hours, so ask the RWA for the entry time before booking.
List of Documents You Usually Need for Bike Transport from Gurgaon to Delhi (And When NOC Matters)
You do not need a stack of paperwork to send a bike from Gurgaon. You need enough to show the bike is yours and legal to move. Our documents required for bike transport article has the long version; this is what matters on the Gurgaon to Delhi lane.
Keep these ready
- Address proof: for the pickup in Gurgaon and for the delivery in Delhi. A rent agreement or utility bill works.
- Insurance copy: the current policy. Third-party cover is the minimum, and the policy should not be expired on the day of loading.
- Authority letter: if a friend, relative or the society staff hands over or receives the bike, with their ID attached.
- Loan papers: if the RC shows a bank under hypothecation, keep the lender's consent letter or NOC with you.
- Phone numbers and landmarks: one contact in Gurgaon for the guard and one in Delhi for the driver.
- RC (registration certificate): a copy goes with the bike; you keep the original. Gurgaon bikes carry an HR-26 plate, though many local bikes are still on DL plates.
When NOC matters
Gurgaon is in Haryana and Delhi is a separate state-level registration area, so a bike that stays in Delhi for good has to be re-registered there. Under Section 47 of the Motor Vehicles Act, that must be done within 12 months of the bike living in the new state. The NOC (Form 28) comes from the registering authority of the bike, which is the Gurugram RTO for an HR plate.
For a short stay, you can keep the Haryana registration. If you are not sure whether the move is temporary, apply for the NOC before the bike leaves Gurgaon, because it is easier to get while you are still in the city.
Complete Step-By-Step Booking Process of Bike Transport from Gurgaon to Delhi: Pickup To Delivery
This is how a normal booking runs. Our how it works page has more detail.
- Ask for a quote. Fill the form at the top of this page or call +91 96713 11891. Share the bike model, pickup area and the Delhi address.
- Read the quote. For 30 km it should show the total with GST, about a day or less on the road, and what is included. A commuter bike on this route starts near ₹2,800.
- Get the bike ready. Leave about a litre of petrol, take off bags and phone mounts, and wash it so existing marks are clear. Dense fog between late December and January is the usual slowdown on this side of the country. Summers are hot but rarely change the schedule.
- Pickup in Delhi NCR. The crew inspects the bike with you, photographs it, wraps and straps it, and gives you a signed condition sheet.
- On the road. The carrier follows NH48 and the Delhi border at Kapashera or the Dwarka side. Ask for a call at the main halts; that is normal on a 30 km run.
- Be reachable. The driver rings ahead. Have the gate pass or society permission ready so the vehicle is not turned away.
- Receive the bike. Walk around it with the pickup photos in hand. Sign only after you are satisfied, and keep your copy of the sheet.
In Delhi we usually deliver to Dwarka, Saket, Vasant Kunj, Janakpuri, Nehru Place and Lajpat Nagar. Delhi societies often allow goods vehicles only at certain hours, so ask the RWA for the entry time before booking.

Mistakes People Make On This Bike Transport Route from Gurgaon (And How You Avoid Them)
- Leaving the bike in the basement without a note. If the crew cannot reach it because of a locked bay or low clearance, the pickup is rescheduled. Bring the bike to the ground level the night before.
- Leaving accessories on. Mirrors, GPS holders, saddlebags and phone mounts go missing or break. Take them off.
- Choosing only on price. A quote far below the others usually means a shared, transfer-heavy journey or missing insurance.
- Booking too late. Last-minute bookings get whatever vehicle is free, often at a higher rate. Book three to five days ahead on this route.
- A mistake specific to Delhi. Booking a pickup in the morning rush. Border traffic can double the transit time.
- Not planning the drop. Typical delivery areas include Dwarka, Saket, Vasant Kunj, Janakpuri, Nehru Place and Lajpat Nagar. Delhi societies often allow goods vehicles only at certain hours, so ask the RWA for the entry time before booking.
