Delhi To Bangalore Bike Transport Basics: Distance, Time, And Why It Varies
Anyone moving from Delhi NCR to Bangalore for an IT job is on the longest regular route we handle, which is why most people here ask about the price first and the days second.
At about 2,150 km the transit is 6–8 days. Treat that as the time the vehicle is moving, and keep one more day free on either side for pickup and for taking delivery. The route normally follows NH44 through Agra, Gwalior, Jhansi, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Kurnool before turning into Karnataka.
| Road distance | About 2,150 km |
|---|---|
| Standard transit | 6–8 days |
| Express transit | 4–6 days |
| Starting price (commuter bike) | ₹6,500 onwards |
| Pickup | Delhi and NCR (Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad) |
| Delivery | Door delivery in Bangalore and nearby areas |

Why the timing changes
Distance is only part of it. The Nagpur–Hyderabad stretch is where trucks lose most time in the rains, and Bengaluru's own entry rules for goods vehicles can add a night to the schedule.
Besides that, four things move the date more than anything else:
- How often carriers leave for Bangalore. A bike booked on a day when a vehicle is already loading leaves sooner than one that waits for a full load.
- Season. Rain on the west side from June to September and the north-east monsoon on the east coast from October to December slow trucks. Winter fog affects only the first day out of Delhi.
- Where you are in the NCR. Pickup from Delhi proper is quickest. If you are in Gurgaon, Noida or Faridabad, mention your sector when you ask for the quote.
- Who receives it. A delivery that needs an RWA letter or gate pass takes longer than one where the driver can park outside and hand over.
How to Ship my Bike! - 3 Ways To Transport Your Bike From Delhi To Bangalore
People usually ask which method is best, and the honest answer depends on distance, the bike, and how much you want to handle yourself.
1. Door-to-door by covered carrier
The crew comes to you, wraps the bike, ties it down inside a covered body, and delivers to your Bangalore address. A commuter bike runs about ₹6,500 to ₹8,900, with 6–8 days on the road. You only need to be present at pickup and at delivery. Read more on our door-to-door bike transport page.
2. Railway parcel
On this distance, parcel trains involve more than one connection, and a bike left at a transfer station gets damaged more often than one on a single carrier. If you do try it, book a direct service where possible, and ask the parcel office at Bangalore whether they take two-wheelers. More on that in our train vs truck guide.
3. Ride it yourself
2,150 km means 6 days of riding and 5 hotel nights. Fuel alone is about ₹4,550 for a commuter and about ₹6,800 for a 350cc bike. It is a real trip, not a relocation tool, and a long ride ages tyres, chain and brakes. Few people do it for a house move.

At this distance, a covered carrier is the only practical way to move the bike, unless you want an adventure. We handle everything from motorcycles and scooters to Royal Enfield and sports bikes.
Delhi To Bangalore Bike Transport Costs: What You’re Really Paying For
Prices below are what most customers pay on this route. They are ranges because the same cc can mean different weight and handling, and because carriers price by the week's load.
| Bike type | Price range (incl. GST) | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Scooter / moped (up to 125cc) | ₹6,000 – ₹7,900 | 6–8 days |
| Commuter bike (100–160cc) | ₹6,500 – ₹8,900 | 6–8 days |
| Royal Enfield / cruiser (350–650cc) | ₹7,800 – ₹10,900 | 6–8 days |
| Sports bike (300cc+) | ₹12,350 – ₹17,300 | 6–8 days |
| Superbike (650cc+) | Quoted after we know the exact model | |
Where the money goes (commuter bike, mid-range quote of ₹7,700)
| Item | Approx. amount |
|---|---|
| Line-haul freight (Delhi to Bangalore) | ₹5,000 |
| Loading, strapping and standard wrap | ₹800 |
| Door pickup and door delivery | ₹750 |
| GST at 18% | ₹1,150 |
| Total | ₹7,700 |
What can push the price up or down
- Transit insurance: 2.5% of the declared value, with a minimum of ₹300. On a bike valued at ₹70,000 that is about ₹1,750, plus GST.
- Express delivery: adds about 25% to the transport portion and brings the time down to 4–6 days.
- Waiting time: if the driver is kept waiting at pickup or delivery for hours, waiting charges can apply. Ask the policy before you book.
- Premium wrap: costs about ₹900 more for thicker padding and a frame around the bike. Sensible for a new or expensive machine.
- Depot instead of door: if you can bring the bike to a hub or collect it from one, the ₹750 door charge and its GST drop off.
The price rises with distance, but not in a straight line. The first few hundred kilometres cost more per km than the rest, because loading, packing and paperwork are fixed. The Safety Checklist Before You Pay Any Advance for Bike Shipping from Delhi
A few minutes of checking can save you a lot. Here is what to confirm before paying anyone an advance.
- Get the quote in writing. It should name the pickup address, the Bangalore delivery address, packing, insurance, GST and the days promised.
- Ask if the bike stays on one vehicle. Over 2,150 km, a transfer at a hub is where most damage and delay happen.
- Keep the advance small. A booking amount is normal. Anyone who wants the full payment before the bike has even been picked up deserves suspicion.
- Get a driver or coordinator number. You should be able to reach a real person while the bike is moving.
- Pay into a business account and take an invoice. A transfer to someone's personal number with no bill leaves you with nothing to show later.
- Prepare the bike. Keep fuel to about a litre, tape or disconnect the battery lead, remove loose accessories and keep one key with you. Our how to prepare your bike guide covers the rest.
- Read the insurance. Ask for the policy copy, what is covered (theft, accident, damage in loading), the excess, and who to call after a problem.
- Plan the Bangalore delivery. Whitefield and Electronic City traffic is heavy from morning to late evening, so deliveries to those areas are usually planned for early hours.
Documents You Usually Need for Bike Transport from Delhi to Bangalore (And When NOC Matters)
The carrier needs only a few papers to accept the bike. The heavier paperwork comes later, when you register in Karnataka.
- RC book or smart card: hand over a photocopy and keep the original yourself.
- Loan papers: if the RC shows hypothecation, carry the lender's consent letter for the move.
- Letter of authority: needed when a relative or friend hands over or receives the bike, with their ID attached.
- Insurance copy: the current policy, not an expired one. Third-party cover is the minimum.
- ID proof: Aadhaar, driving licence or passport of the owner.
- Addresses and phone numbers: a working contact and a landmark at the Delhi end and at the Bangalore end.
When NOC matters
You do not need an NOC to put a bike on a carrier. You need it when the bike has to be registered in Karnataka. A registration from another state is valid for twelve months under the Motor Vehicles Act, and then a new number must be taken. The NOC comes from the Delhi transport office, and if a loan is running, the bank has to release its hold first.
Karnataka's Regional Transport Offices (Indiranagar, Koramangala, Jayanagar, Yelahanka and others) re-register your bike, and you should expect to show the Delhi NOC and your Bengaluru address proof.
Two extra notes: owners who qualify for the BH series can skip re-registration altogether, and the rules on older vehicles in Delhi–NCR keep changing, so it is worth confirming where your bike stands before you pay anyone. For a full list, see our documents required for bike transport article.
Step-By-Step Booking Process of Bike Transport from Delhi to Bangalore: Pickup To Delivery
This is how a normal booking runs. Our how it works page has more detail.
- Send your details. The form above takes a minute. We need the bike model, whether it starts, and the two addresses: one in Pitampura or elsewhere in Delhi NCR, one in Bangalore.
- Confirm the booking. Check the days and the price, then pay the booking amount. Keep the receipt; you will need it at delivery.
- Clear the bike. Remove the helmet lock gadgets, mirrors-mounted cameras and luggage. Keep one key and the RC with you.
- Pickup in Delhi NCR. The crew inspects the bike with you, photographs it, wraps and straps it, and gives you a signed condition sheet.
- Transit to Bangalore. Expect about 6–8 days on the road. You get the driver or coordinator number for updates.
- Delivery slot. The driver calls before arrival. Share the exact address, gate and a person who can sign.
- Check, sign and pay the balance. Compare the bike against your pickup photos before signing. Write any scratch on the delivery sheet at the time.
In Bangalore we usually deliver to Whitefield, Electronic City, Koramangala, HSR Layout, Marathahalli and Yelahanka. Whitefield and Electronic City traffic is heavy from morning to late evening, so deliveries to those areas are usually planned for early hours.

Mistakes People Make On This Bike Shipping Route (And How You Avoid Them)
- Leaving a full tank. Carriers can refuse a bike with lots of fuel. Keep about a litre.
- Booking too late. Last-minute bookings get whatever vehicle is free, often at a higher rate. Book three to five days ahead on this route.
- Skipping the photos. Without pickup photos, a damage claim becomes your word against theirs.
- A mistake specific to Bangalore. Booking the cheapest quote without asking whether the bike travels on one truck all the way. On 2,000-plus km a transfer at Nagpur or Hyderabad is where scratches and delays happen.
- Not planning the drop. Typical delivery areas include Whitefield, Electronic City, Koramangala, HSR Layout, Marathahalli and Yelahanka. Whitefield and Electronic City traffic is heavy from morning to late evening, so deliveries to those areas are usually planned for early hours.
