Delhi To Nashik Bike Transport Basics: Distance, Time, And Why It Varies
Nashik sits a few hours from Mumbai and Pune, so many people who work remotely or in nearby plants choose it. HAL, the currency press and wine-sector staff also move here regularly.
The road distance is about 1,250 km and the usual transit is 4–6 days from the day the carrier leaves Delhi. Add a day at either end for pickup and for the delivery appointment, and you have the real timeline. The route normally follows NH48 through Rajasthan and Gujarat, then Maharashtra via Surat and the ghat road to Nashik.
| Road distance | About 1,250 km |
|---|---|
| Standard transit | 4–6 days |
| Express transit | 2–4 days |
| Starting price (commuter bike) | ₹5,100 onwards |
| Pickup | Delhi and NCR (Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad) |
| Delivery | Door delivery in Nashik and nearby areas |

Why the timing changes
The Surat–Nashik link goes through hill sections, and monsoon landslides at Saputara or the Kasara area occasionally force diversions.
Besides that, four things move the date more than anything else:
- How often carriers leave for Nashik. A bike booked on a day when a vehicle is already loading leaves sooner than one that waits for a full load.
- Season. June to September is the slow season for ghat and coastal sections. Winter is generally smooth, apart from morning fog out of Delhi.
- Where you are in the NCR. Pickup from Delhi proper is quickest. If you are in Gurgaon, Noida or Faridabad, mention your sector when you ask for the quote.
- Who receives it. A delivery that needs an RWA letter or gate pass takes longer than one where the driver can park outside and hand over.
How to Ship my Bike! - 3 Ways To Transport Your Bike From Delhi To Nashik
There are really only three options. Here is how each one works out on this route.
1. Door-to-door by covered carrier
The crew comes to you, wraps the bike, ties it down inside a covered body, and delivers to your Nashik address. A commuter bike runs about ₹5,100 to ₹7,000, with 4–6 days on the road. You only need to be present at pickup and at delivery. Read more on our door-to-door bike transport page.
2. Railway parcel
Possible, but slow. The bike goes by parcel train from a Delhi station, and you collect it at Nashik. Packing is on you, the tank must be nearly empty, and transit depends on which trains run that week, so it can take longer than a carrier. If the parcel office at Nashik cannot take two-wheelers, you are stuck, so ask first. See our train vs truck comparison.
3. Ride it yourself
1,250 km is 4 days of riding at a comfortable pace, and 3 nights on the road. Fuel is around ₹2,650 for a commuter bike (about ₹3,950 for a 350cc Royal Enfield). Toll is free for bikes, but hotels, food and a return ticket are not. It works if you want the trip. It does not work if you are in a hurry or the bike is new and still running in.

For most people moving house or job, the covered carrier is the one that makes sense. We handle everything from motorcycles and scooters to Royal Enfield and sports bikes.
Delhi To Nashik Bike Transport Costs: What You’re Really Paying For
Prices below are what most customers pay on this route. They are ranges because the same cc can mean different weight and handling, and because carriers price by the week's load.
| Bike type | Price range (incl. GST) | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Scooter / moped (up to 125cc) | ₹4,700 – ₹6,200 | 4–6 days |
| Commuter bike (100–160cc) | ₹5,100 – ₹7,000 | 4–6 days |
| Royal Enfield / cruiser (350–650cc) | ₹6,150 – ₹8,600 | 4–6 days |
| Sports bike (300cc+) | ₹9,700 – ₹13,600 | 4–6 days |
| Superbike (650cc+) | Quoted after we know the exact model | |
Where the money goes (commuter bike, mid-range quote of ₹6,050)
| Item | Approx. amount |
|---|---|
| Line-haul freight (Delhi to Nashik) | ₹3,800 |
| Loading, strapping and standard wrap | ₹600 |
| Door pickup and door delivery | ₹750 |
| GST at 18% | ₹900 |
| Total | ₹6,050 |
Extras and adjustments
- Transit insurance: optional cover at 2.5% of what you declare, never below ₹300. Declare ₹1,00,000 and it comes to about ₹2,500 plus GST.
- Express delivery: adds about 25% to the transport portion and brings the time down to 2–4 days.
- Premium wrap: costs about ₹900 more for thicker padding and a frame around the bike. Sensible for a new or expensive machine.
- Difficult access: if the truck cannot reach your gate, a smaller vehicle for the last stretch may cost extra. Tell us the address up front.
- Depot instead of door: if you can bring the bike to a hub or collect it from one, the ₹750 door charge and its GST drop off.
The price rises with distance, but not in a straight line. The first few hundred kilometres cost more per km than the rest, because loading, packing and paperwork are fixed. The Safety Checklist Before You Pay Any Advance for Bike Shipping from Delhi
A few minutes of checking can save you a lot. Here is what to confirm before paying anyone an advance.
- Get the quote in writing. It should name the pickup address, the Nashik delivery address, packing, insurance, GST and the days promised.
- Ask if the bike stays on one vehicle. Over 1,250 km, a transfer at a hub is where most damage and delay happen.
- Ask for a contact number for the trip. Someone should pick up the phone while your bike is on the road.
- Pay a company account. Get a receipt or invoice. Payments to personal numbers with no bill are hard to dispute later.
- Check the company is real. Ask for the GST number, the registered office address and a landline or office you can visit or video call. Search the name with reviews.
- Prepare the bike. Keep fuel to about a litre, tape or disconnect the battery lead, remove loose accessories and keep one key with you. Our how to prepare your bike guide covers the rest.
- Do not pay in full upfront. A small booking amount is fine. If someone asks for everything before pickup, that is a warning sign.
- Plan the Nashik delivery. Panchavati lanes are narrow, so a hand-over at the main road is usual.
Documents You Usually Need for Bike Transport from Delhi to Nashik (And When NOC Matters)
The carrier needs only a few papers to accept the bike. The heavier paperwork comes later, when you register in Maharashtra.
- RC (registration certificate): a copy goes with the bike, and the original stays with you.
- Loan papers: if the RC shows hypothecation, carry the lender's consent letter for the move.
- Owner's ID: any one of Aadhaar, driving licence or passport, with the same name as the RC.
- Contact details: a phone number and landmark for both Delhi and Nashik.
- Letter of authority: needed when a relative or friend hands over or receives the bike, with their ID attached.
- Insurance copy: the current policy, not an expired one. Third-party cover is the minimum.
When NOC matters
The transport itself runs without an NOC. The need comes up when you register the bike in Maharashtra: the old registration works there for twelve months, and after that a new number is required. Delhi's transport office gives the NOC, and a financed bike needs the lender's clearance before it can.
Nashik has two RTO offices; MH-15 Nashik is the main one, and your Delhi NOC and address proof are needed.
Two extra notes: owners who qualify for the BH series can skip re-registration altogether, and the rules on older vehicles in Delhi–NCR keep changing, so it is worth confirming where your bike stands before you pay anyone. For a full list, see our documents required for bike transport article.
Step-By-Step Booking Process of Bike Transport from Delhi to Nashik: Pickup To Delivery
This is how a normal booking runs. Our how it works page has more detail.
- Ask for a quote. Fill the form at the top of this page or call +91 96713 11891. Share the bike model, pickup area and the Nashik address.
- Read the quote. For 1,250 km it should show the total with GST, about 4–6 days on the road, and what is included. A commuter bike on this route starts near ₹5,100.
- Prepare the bike. Drain the tank to about a litre, remove accessories and clean it so scratches show up in the photos.
- Pickup day. Someone should be at the house to sign. The bike is photographed from all sides, wrapped, strapped and loaded.
- On the road. The carrier follows NH48. Ask for a call at the main halts; that is normal on a 1,250 km run.
- Delivery slot. The driver calls before arrival. Share the exact address, gate and a person who can sign.
- Inspect and close. Match the bike to the pickup photos, start it, and note any damage on the paper before you sign and pay.
In Nashik we usually deliver to College Road, Gangapur Road, Satpur, Indira Nagar, Panchavati and Nashik Road. Panchavati lanes are narrow, so a hand-over at the main road is usual.

Mistakes People Make On This Bike Shipping Route (And How You Avoid Them)
- Leaving accessories on. Mirrors, GPS holders, saddlebags and phone mounts go missing or break. Take them off.
- Not checking who signs. Whoever signs at delivery accepts the bike as is, so have the right person there.
- Leaving a full tank. Carriers can refuse a bike with lots of fuel. Keep about a litre.
- A mistake specific to Nashik. Assuming Nashik gets the same schedule as Mumbai. It is a branch off the main corridor, so ask for the actual departure date and whether your bike goes on a direct vehicle.
- Not planning the drop. Typical delivery areas include College Road, Gangapur Road, Satpur, Indira Nagar, Panchavati and Nashik Road. Panchavati lanes are narrow, so a hand-over at the main road is usual.
