Delhi To Warangal Bike Transport Basics: Distance, Time, And Why It Varies
Warangal is a historic city with NIT Warangal, the Kakatiya heritage and a growing textile park. Students, professors and families from the north send bikes here.
Plan on roughly 1,600 km and 5–7 days on the road. The quoted days start when the vehicle leaves Delhi; pickup usually takes a day before that, and delivery needs a time you agree with the driver. The route normally follows NH44 through Nagpur, then Karimnagar or Hyderabad to Warangal.
| Road distance | About 1,600 km |
|---|---|
| Standard transit | 5–7 days |
| Express transit | 4–6 days |
| Starting price (commuter bike) | ₹5,750 onwards |
| Pickup | Delhi and NCR (Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad) |
| Delivery | Door delivery in Warangal and nearby areas |

Why the timing changes
The Nagpur to Adilabad forest stretch is slow in the monsoon. The rest of the route is a good highway.
Besides that, four things move the date more than anything else:
- How often carriers leave for Warangal. A bike booked on a day when a vehicle is already loading leaves sooner than one that waits for a full load.
- Season. Rain on the west side from June to September and the north-east monsoon on the east coast from October to December slow trucks. Winter fog affects only the first day out of Delhi.
- Where you are in the NCR. Pickup from Delhi proper is quickest. If you are in Gurgaon, Noida or Faridabad, mention your sector when you ask for the quote.
- Who receives it. A delivery that needs an RWA letter or gate pass takes longer than one where the driver can park outside and hand over.
How to Ship my Bike! - 3 Ways To Transport Your Bike From Delhi To Warangal
People usually ask which method is best, and the honest answer depends on distance, the bike, and how much you want to handle yourself.
1. Door-to-door by covered carrier
The crew comes to you, wraps the bike, ties it down inside a covered body, and delivers to your Warangal address. A commuter bike runs about ₹5,750 to ₹7,900, with 5–7 days on the road. You only need to be present at pickup and at delivery. Read more on our door-to-door bike transport page.
2. Railway parcel
Possible, but slow. The bike goes by parcel train from a Delhi station, and you collect it at Warangal. Packing is on you, the tank must be nearly empty, and transit depends on which trains run that week, so it can take longer than a carrier. If the parcel office at Warangal cannot take two-wheelers, you are stuck, so ask first. See our train vs truck comparison.
3. Ride it yourself
1,600 km is 4 days of riding at a comfortable pace, and 3 nights on the road. Fuel is around ₹3,400 for a commuter bike (about ₹5,050 for a 350cc Royal Enfield). Toll is free for bikes, but hotels, food and a return ticket are not. It works if you want the trip. It does not work if you are in a hurry or the bike is new and still running in.

For most people moving house or job, the covered carrier is the one that makes sense. We handle everything from motorcycles and scooters to Royal Enfield and sports bikes.
Delhi To Warangal Bike Transport Costs: What You’re Really Paying For
Prices below are what most customers pay on this route. They are ranges because the same cc can mean different weight and handling, and because carriers price by the week's load.
| Bike type | Price range (incl. GST) | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Scooter / moped (up to 125cc) | ₹5,300 – ₹7,000 | 5–7 days |
| Commuter bike (100–160cc) | ₹5,750 – ₹7,900 | 5–7 days |
| Royal Enfield / cruiser (350–650cc) | ₹6,900 – ₹9,700 | 5–7 days |
| Sports bike (300cc+) | ₹10,950 – ₹15,350 | 5–7 days |
| Superbike (650cc+) | Quoted after we know the exact model | |
Where the money goes (commuter bike, mid-range quote of ₹6,800)
| Item | Approx. amount |
|---|---|
| Line-haul freight (Delhi to Warangal) | ₹4,300 |
| Loading, strapping and standard wrap | ₹700 |
| Door pickup and door delivery | ₹750 |
| GST at 18% | ₹1,050 |
| Total | ₹6,800 |
What can push the price up or down
- Transit insurance: optional cover at 2.5% of what you declare, never below ₹300. Declare ₹70,000 and it comes to about ₹1,750 plus GST.
- Express delivery: costs roughly a quarter more on the transport charge and cuts the trip to 4–6 days.
- Depot instead of door: if you can bring the bike to a hub or collect it from one, the ₹750 door charge and its GST drop off.
- Premium wrap: adds about ₹900 for extra padding and a crate-style frame, worth it for a new or high-value bike.
- Waiting time: a driver held up for hours at either end may bill for the wait. Ask what the rule is before you book.
The price rises with distance, but not in a straight line. The first few hundred kilometres cost more per km than the rest, because loading, packing and paperwork are fixed. The Safety Checklist Before You Pay Any Advance for Bike Shipping from Delhi
A few minutes of checking can save you a lot. Here is what to confirm before paying anyone an advance.
- Get the quote in writing. It should name the pickup address, the Warangal delivery address, packing, insurance, GST and the days promised.
- Ask if the bike stays on one vehicle. Over 1,600 km, a transfer at a hub is where most damage and delay happen.
- Verify who you are paying. A genuine company will give you a GST number, a registered address and an office phone. Check them, and read the Google reviews.
- Inspect at pickup. Shoot photos or a short video of every side of the bike, note the odometer, and get a condition sheet signed by the crew.
- Pay into a business account and take an invoice. A transfer to someone's personal number with no bill leaves you with nothing to show later.
- Prepare the bike. Keep fuel to about a litre, tape or disconnect the battery lead, remove loose accessories and keep one key with you. Our how to prepare your bike guide covers the rest.
- Keep the advance small. A booking amount is normal. Anyone who wants the full payment before the bike has even been picked up deserves suspicion.
- Plan the Warangal delivery. NIT Warangal has gate rules. Ask for delivery at the main gate or through the hostel office.
Documents You Usually Need for Bike Transport from Delhi to Warangal (And When NOC Matters)
To hand over the bike you need very little. The real paperwork starts after delivery, if you plan to register the bike in Telangana.
- RC (registration certificate): a copy goes with the bike, and the original stays with you.
- Addresses and phone numbers: a working contact and a landmark at the Delhi end and at the Warangal end.
- Insurance copy: the current policy, not an expired one. Third-party cover is the minimum.
- Finance NOC: if the bike is on a loan (hypothecation), a letter from the bank or NBFC allowing the move.
- Authorisation letter: if someone other than the owner hands over or receives the bike, with their ID.
- ID proof: Aadhaar, driving licence or passport of the owner.
When NOC matters
You do not need an NOC to put a bike on a carrier. You need it when the bike has to be registered in Telangana. A registration from another state is valid for twelve months under the Motor Vehicles Act, and then a new number must be taken. The NOC comes from the Delhi transport office, and if a loan is running, the bank has to release its hold first.
Warangal has an RTO, and the Delhi NOC and an address proof are asked for to re-register.
One more point. If you qualify for the BH (Bharat) series, you do not need to re-register when you move states. Also check the current rules on older vehicles in Delhi–NCR with the transport department, because they have changed more than once. Step-By-Step Booking Process of Bike Transport from Delhi to Warangal: Pickup To Delivery
Most bookings follow these seven steps. Our how it works page has more detail.
- Send your details. The form above takes a minute. We need the bike model, whether it starts, and the two addresses: one in Faridabad Sector 15 or elsewhere in Delhi NCR, one in Warangal.
- Read the quote. For 1,600 km it should show the total with GST, about 5–7 days on the road, and what is included. A commuter bike on this route starts near ₹5,750.
- Clear the bike. Remove the helmet lock gadgets, mirrors-mounted cameras and luggage. Keep one key and the RC with you.
- Pickup in Delhi NCR. The crew inspects the bike with you, photographs it, wraps and straps it, and gives you a signed condition sheet.
- While it travels. Keep your phone on. A delay from weather or a breakdown is reported to you, not hidden until the due date.
- Delivery slot. The driver calls before arrival. Share the exact address, gate and a person who can sign.
- Receive the bike. Walk around it with the pickup photos in hand. Sign only after you are satisfied, and keep your copy of the sheet.
In Warangal we usually deliver to Hanamkonda, Kazipet, Subedari, Kakaji Colony, Narsampet Road and Hunter Road. NIT Warangal has gate rules. Ask for delivery at the main gate or through the hostel office.

Mistakes People Make On This Bike Shipping Route (And How You Avoid Them)
- Trusting a verbal promise. If the days or the price are not on paper, they are not a promise.
- Forgetting the second key. Hand over only one, and keep the other with you.
- Not checking who signs. Whoever signs at delivery accepts the bike as is, so have the right person there.
- A mistake specific to Warangal. Sending the bike to a hostel without a receiver. Hostels do not always sign for deliveries.
- Not planning the drop. Typical delivery areas include Hanamkonda, Kazipet, Subedari, Kakaji Colony, Narsampet Road and Hunter Road. NIT Warangal has gate rules. Ask for delivery at the main gate or through the hostel office.
