Delhi To Jaipur Bike Transport Basics: Distance, Time, And Why It Varies
Jaipur is close enough that plenty of people just ride, but a bike that is not in running condition, a new bike without registration, or a rider travelling by train is a good reason to book a carrier.
The road distance is roughly 280 km, and most bikes arrive in 2–3 days from pickup. That is quick enough that people often ask whether they should ride instead; the section below compares both honestly. The route normally follows NH48 through Gurugram, Manesar, Behror and Shahpura, about five hours on the road.
| Road distance | About 280 km |
|---|---|
| Standard transit | 2–3 days |
| Express transit | same day or next day |
| Starting price (commuter bike) | ₹2,800 onwards |
| Pickup | Delhi and NCR (Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad) |
| Delivery | Door delivery in Jaipur and nearby areas |

Why the timing changes
Delhi-side traffic at Gurugram's Rajiv Chowk and the Kherki Daula toll can cost the carrier an hour or more, especially on Fridays and before holidays.
Besides that, four things move the date more than anything else:
- How often carriers leave for Jaipur. A bike booked on a day when a vehicle is already loading leaves sooner than one that waits for a full load.
- Season. Dense fog between late December and January is the usual slowdown on this side of the country. Summers are hot but rarely change the schedule.
- Where you are in the NCR. Pickup from Delhi proper is quickest. If you are in Gurgaon, Noida or Faridabad, mention your sector when you ask for the quote.
- Who receives it. A delivery that needs an RWA letter or gate pass takes longer than one where the driver can park outside and hand over.
How to Ship my Bike! - 3 Ways To Transport Your Bike From Delhi To Jaipur
There are really only three options. Here is how each one works out on this route.
1. Door-to-door by covered carrier
This is the usual choice. The bike is packed at your door, travels in a closed vehicle and is brought to your Jaipur address. Budget ₹2,800 to ₹3,850 for a commuter bike and 2–3 days of transit, and keep your phone on during the trip. Read more on our door-to-door bike transport page.
2. Railway parcel
Indian Railways does carry two-wheelers as parcel. You book at the parcel office, the bike is packed (the tank must be nearly empty), and it travels station to station. You then collect it from Jaipur yourself, and get it home. At 280 km the saving over a carrier is small and the handling is rougher. Our train vs truck comparison goes through it in detail.
3. Ride it yourself
About 280 km takes one long day on a bike. Fuel at roughly 45 km a litre and ₹95 a litre comes to about ₹600. Two-wheelers are exempt from toll, which helps. You also have to get yourself back home or onward after riding one way, which people forget while comparing prices.

If you have time and a healthy bike, riding is cheapest. If you are travelling with luggage, family or on a train, the carrier is the easier option. We handle everything from motorcycles and scooters to Royal Enfield and sports bikes.
Delhi To Jaipur Bike Transport Costs: What You’re Really Paying For
No one should pay for a Delhi to Jaipur bike move without seeing the full breakup, so here it is.
| Bike type | Price range (incl. GST) | Delivery |
|---|---|---|
| Scooter / moped (up to 125cc) | ₹2,600 – ₹3,400 | 2–3 days |
| Commuter bike (100–160cc) | ₹2,800 – ₹3,850 | 2–3 days |
| Royal Enfield / cruiser (350–650cc) | ₹3,350 – ₹4,700 | 2–3 days |
| Sports bike (300cc+) | ₹5,300 – ₹7,450 | 2–3 days |
| Superbike (650cc+) | Quoted after we know the exact model | |
Where the money goes (commuter bike, mid-range quote of ₹3,300)
| Item | Approx. amount |
|---|---|
| Line-haul freight (Delhi to Jaipur) | ₹1,750 |
| Loading, strapping and standard wrap | ₹300 |
| Door pickup and door delivery | ₹750 |
| GST at 18% | ₹500 |
| Total | ₹3,300 |
What can change the final figure
- Transit insurance: optional cover at 2.5% of what you declare, never below ₹300. Declare ₹80,000 and it comes to about ₹2,000 plus GST.
- Express delivery: adds about 25% to the transport portion and brings the time down to same day or next day.
- Waiting time: if the driver is kept waiting at pickup or delivery for hours, waiting charges can apply. Ask the policy before you book.
- Premium wrap: costs about ₹900 more for thicker padding and a frame around the bike. Sensible for a new or expensive machine.
- Difficult access: if the truck cannot reach your gate, a smaller vehicle for the last stretch may cost extra. Tell us the address up front.
The price rises with distance, but not in a straight line. The first few hundred kilometres cost more per km than the rest, because loading, packing and paperwork are fixed. The Safety Checklist Before You Pay Any Advance for Bike Shipping from Delhi
Before any money moves for a Delhi to Jaipur booking, go through these points. They apply to every company, including us.
- Get the quote in writing. It should name the pickup address, the Jaipur delivery address, packing, insurance, GST and the days promised.
- Ask if the bike stays on one vehicle. Over 280 km, a transfer at a hub is where most damage and delay happen.
- Pay a company account. Get a receipt or invoice. Payments to personal numbers with no bill are hard to dispute later.
- Prepare the bike. Keep fuel to about a litre, tape or disconnect the battery lead, remove loose accessories and keep one key with you. Our how to prepare your bike guide covers the rest.
- Do a pickup inspection. Photos or a video of the bike from all sides, with the odometer reading, and a signed condition sheet.
- Ask for a contact number for the trip. Someone should pick up the phone while your bike is on the road.
- Look at the insurance papers. Find out what is covered (theft, accident, loading damage), what you pay first, and whom to call if something goes wrong.
- Plan the Jaipur delivery. The old Pink City is closed to larger vehicles in places, so deliveries inside the walls go by a smaller tempo.
Documents You Usually Need for Bike Transport from Delhi to Jaipur (And When NOC Matters)
To hand over the bike you need very little. The real paperwork starts after delivery, if you plan to register the bike in Rajasthan.
- RC book or smart card: hand over a photocopy and keep the original yourself.
- Valid insurance: a copy of the bike's current policy.
- Addresses and phone numbers: a working contact and a landmark at the Delhi end and at the Jaipur end.
- Owner's ID: any one of Aadhaar, driving licence or passport, with the same name as the RC.
- Authorisation letter: if someone other than the owner hands over or receives the bike, with their ID.
- Loan papers: if the RC shows hypothecation, carry the lender's consent letter for the move.
When NOC matters
The transport itself runs without an NOC. The need comes up when you register the bike in Rajasthan: the old registration works there for twelve months, and after that a new number is required. Delhi's transport office gives the NOC, and a financed bike needs the lender's clearance before it can.
Jaipur comes under the Rajasthan transport department, and the RJ-14 office is the one most people deal with for re-registration; check which office covers your colony.
One more point. If you qualify for the BH (Bharat) series, you do not need to re-register when you move states. Also check the current rules on older vehicles in Delhi–NCR with the transport department, because they have changed more than once. Step-By-Step Booking Process of Bike Transport from Delhi to Jaipur: Pickup To Delivery
Most bookings follow these seven steps. Our how it works page has more detail.
- Start with the form. Give your name, number and bike. If the bike is a Classic 350 or Himalayan and the drop is near Vaishali Nagar, mention it so the quote fits.
- Confirm the booking. Check the days and the price, then pay the booking amount. Keep the receipt; you will need it at delivery.
- Clear the bike. Remove the helmet lock gadgets, mirrors-mounted cameras and luggage. Keep one key and the RC with you.
- Handover in Uttam Nagar or nearby. The crew walks around the bike with you, notes every mark, ties it down and hands you the condition sheet.
- Transit to Jaipur. Expect about 2–3 days on the road. You get the driver or coordinator number for updates.
- Be reachable. The driver rings ahead. Have the gate pass or society permission ready so the vehicle is not turned away.
- Check, sign and pay the balance. Compare the bike against your pickup photos before signing. Write any scratch on the delivery sheet at the time.
In Jaipur we usually deliver to Vaishali Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Mansarovar, Jagatpura, C-Scheme and Sodala. The old Pink City is closed to larger vehicles in places, so deliveries inside the walls go by a smaller tempo.

Mistakes People Make On This Bike Shipping Route (And How You Avoid Them)
- Ignoring the weather. Dense fog between late December and January is the usual slowdown on this side of the country. Summers are hot but rarely change the schedule. Ask for a flexible window.
- Not checking who signs. Whoever signs at delivery accepts the bike as is, so have the right person there.
- Trusting a verbal promise. If the days or the price are not on paper, they are not a promise.
- A mistake specific to Jaipur. Paying long-haul prices for a 280 km move. Ask for a short-route quote; many carriers have lighter loads on the Jaipur run and can price it lower.
- Not planning the drop. Typical delivery areas include Vaishali Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Mansarovar, Jagatpura, C-Scheme and Sodala. The old Pink City is closed to larger vehicles in places, so deliveries inside the walls go by a smaller tempo.
